OSP Field Supervisor (Outside Plant) - Carpentersville, IL MarketPay: $60-$75K/year, depending on experience levelTerms: Full-time permanent placement positionAllstates Consulting Services is looking for a OSP Field Supervisor in the Carpentersville, IL area. The OSP Field Supervisor ensures construction is built safely and to the required standards and specifications.An OSP Field Supervisor will find themselves in many various roles throughout a typical day.What you will be doing:Maintain understanding of the specifications, standard practices, and safetyConduct walkouts and inspects aerial fiber cable placement on poles and splice points as well as the underground placement of conduit and handholes for quality and correct installation as per the drawings technical specifications and/or construction specifications.Manage the OSP Construction TrackerMonitor the approved budget for each of their assigned work ordersRespond to utility strikes, conducts and conduct investigationWhat You Need For This Position:A High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or three (3) to five (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Must be detailed oriented and excellent organizational skillsRelated quality control and/or outside aerial plant construction experienceAbility to work independently with minimal supervision in a deadline-driven environmentWorks well under pressureAbility walking long distances, and potentially uneven and/or less than ideal ground conditions each day with contractorsCapable working in all temperatures, climate and weather conditions maintaining safe work zone practicesCommitted to and driven by quality and safetyAbility to manage multiple tasks at the same time and recognize which tasks are more urgent or require more attentionMust have and maintain a valid driver license and a clean driving record (no DUIs or serious traffic violationsBenefits (employee contribution):Health insuranceHealth savings accountDental insuranceVision insuranceFlexible spending accountsLife insuranceRetirement planAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
