Job DescriptionAre you ready to lead a dynamic team in transforming packing operations with brand-new automation and groundbreaking methods within LEGO Manufacturing VirginiaLead the future of packing operations within LEGO Manufacturing Virginia by driving innovation automation and excellence in a high-volume production environment while encouraging a culture that is collaborative inclusive and aligned with global standards.This requisition will fill two (2) roles for Final and Pre-pack Directors.Core ResponsibilitiesLead daily packing operationsensuring adherence to Safety Quality Delivery Cost and People (SQDCP) critical metrics.Drive compliancewith global LEGO production standards and regulatory requirements.Support site readinessfor automation andnew technologyintegration in upcoming facility transitions.Directly manage and developa shop floor of Group Leaders promoting a positive and welcoming environment.Leverage LEGO Continuous Improvement (LCI) principlestoidentifyand implement improvement opportunities.Collaborate activelywith Production Maintenance Logistics HR and Training functions for seamless operations.Develop contingency plansto navigate supply chain or production uncertainties.Play your part in our team succeedingThe Packing Operations departmentis responsible formanaging pre-packing and final packing of LEGO boxes at LEGO Manufacturing Virginia. This function ensures safe efficient and high-quality delivery of finished products in alignment with global standards. Packing at LVA is rapidly evolving with current processes adhering toestablishedglobal equipment and methods and with future transition toward highly automated systems as part of our new facility development.The Director of Packing Operations leads site-level packing production ensuring the right quality cost and delivery performance while fostering a culture of safety collaboration and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on operational leadership role responsible for being present on the floor engaging directly with teams solving problems in real time and ensuring that production plans are executed effectively. The Director fosters cross-functional collaboration to effectively align resources and drive the achievement of long-term strategic goals.Do youhavewhat it takesLeadership experience in high-volume production packaging or manufacturing operations.Consistenttrack recordof hands-on operational leadership leading teams and driving performance directly on the production floor.Experienceleading ina lean manufacturing culture with proven success in applying continuous improvement methodologies.Strong command of operational metrics problem-solving tools and manufacturing systems.Background in scaling operations and preparing organizations for automation or technology transitions preferred.Advanced education in Engineering Industrial Technology Operations Management or relatedfieldis highly desired.AdditionalRelocation will be providedSome international travel will be required.CompensationThe salary for this position has a range of $153020.00 - $229530.00 based on anticipated responsibilities market benchmarks and organizational constraints. The LEGO Group carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors including but not limited to prior experience skills expertise location internal equity and other considerations permitted by law.
