PACS Administrator
Pay Rate: $45–$60 per hour
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced PACS Administrator to support and optimize cardiology and clinical imaging systems within a healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing cardiovascular PACS and related imaging applications, along with strong knowledge of DICOM standards and clinical workflow integration. A local candidate is preferred due to the initial on-site requirement during the first six months.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, implement, and support cardiology IT applications and imaging systems
- Administer and optimize:
- Fuji Synapse Cardiovascular PACS
- GE/Merge Hemo
- Epiphany ECG
- Cerner RadNet / RIS
- Build and maintain custom clinical templates to streamline reporting and improve data capture
- Ensure seamless integration between PACS and EHR systems, including Cerner EHR
- Support DICOM imaging protocols including acquisition, archiving, retrieval, and system interoperability
- Perform system configuration, upgrades, testing, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance
- Provide end-user support and training as needed
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Healthcare Science, Business, Finance, or related field OR equivalent work experience
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in design, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, upgrading, testing, and support of clinical imaging applications, such as:
- Fuji PACS / CV
- Cerner RadNet
- PowerScribe 360
- Varian Aria
- Natus Xltek
- Provation
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong understanding of DICOM imaging standards and PACS/EHR integrations
- Experience working in clinical or hospital environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting cardiology imaging workflows
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with clinical staff
