Banner Medical Group in Glendale, AZ is seeking a skilled and dedicated Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician with expertise in Spine and Pain Management. The primary focus of this position is to provide non-surgical outpatient management of patients with spinal disorders and to lead the development of the outpatient spine PMR program. This position will work closely with our spine surgeons to provide quick turnaround interventional care for spine patients.

Additional Practice Locations: Potential opportunities at TOCA Phoenix and Peoria

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • MD or DO degree
  • American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR) BC/BE certification
  • Fellowship Training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is required
  • New graduates from PM&R fellowships or PM&R Pain Management specialists are welcome to apply
  • Candidates should be comfortable within an outpatient setting
  • Proficiency in interventional procedures and pharmacological management of musculoskeletal and spinal conditions is required
  • Ability to manage cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine conditions
  • Upper and lower extremity management
  • Proficiency in therapeutic injections is a must, with other treatments (e.g., acupuncture, Botox, ultrasound) highly desirable
  • Ability to provide upper and lower extremity EMG and nerve conduction studies is a plus

Practice Details:

  • Full-time | Monday – Friday
  • Clinic-Based Practice: 3–4 days of clinic per week; 1–2 days of procedures per week
  • Practice call only (no hospital call)

Vision for the Role:

Provide non-surgical interventions for spine patients with quick turnaround back to the surgeons. The role primarily involves outpatient management of patients with spinal disorders and offers significant opportunities for program development.

Primary Procedures:

Spine injections

Typical Day:

Your typical day will revolve around seeing patients in the outpatient clinic, speaking with referring doctors and surgeons, and providing injection therapy and/or EMG/NCV according to your personal expertise. Other activities include participation in weekly spine conferences to discuss patient management.

 

The Team:

You will be joining a closely aligned spine team in a developing practice with tremendous opportunity for growth. The team consists of one PM&R Physician (this position), two Spine Surgeons in the West Valley, and three Advanced Practice Providers also in the West Valley.

This collaborative, closely aligned spine team operates within a developing practice that offers significant growth potential. You will have the autonomy to shape and lead the outpatient spine PMR program while building a strong partnership with our spine surgeons.
