JOB DESCRIPTION
Paint Prep / General Laborer
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Paint Prep / General Laborer. This role is essential to our industrial painting operations and involves preparing trucks and attachments for paint application. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Sand trucks, attachments, and components to ensure proper surface preparation for painting.
- Tape and mask parts to protect areas from overspray.
- Clean and degrease surfaces prior to paint application.
- Assist painters with setup and cleanup of painting areas.
- Move and position equipment and parts as needed.
- Perform general labor tasks such as sweeping, organizing, and maintaining a clean work environment.
- Inspect prepped surfaces for quality and completeness.
- Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
Essential Skills
- Experience in painting, industrial work, and general labor.
- Knowledge of production, assembly, and paint prep processes.
- Proficiency in using spray guns, sanders, and industrial paint equipment.
- Ability to sandblast and powder coat.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in industrial painting or surface prep is preferred but not required.
- Ability to use hand tools, sanders, and other prep equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to work in a physically demanding and sometimes dusty environment.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Team-oriented attitude with good communication skills.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Moorhead, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
