Paint Prepper at Hometown Chevrolet GMC of Fruitland

Join the team at Hometown Collision Center as a Paint Prepper or Paint this role you will be responsible for meticulously preparing vehicles for the priming and painting processes ensuring all surfaces are clean smooth and properly prepped for paint application. You will take ownership of the final product by carefully inspecting the clear coat for any defects and collaborating closely with the painter to address and repair any imperfections. Additionally you may assist with detailing vehicles during final quality checks prior to delivery. Your keen attention to detail and dedication to quality will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards our customers have come to expect.ResponsibilitiesPrepare vehicle surfaces by sanding masking and cleaning to ensure proper paint adhesion.Inspect surfaces for defects and report any issues to the painting team.Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety regulations.Collaborate with painters and technicians to meet production deadlines.Use hand and power tools safely and effectively during surface preparation.RequirementsPrevious experience in automotive paint preparation or related field is preferred.Ability to work in a fast-paced production shop environment with attention to detail.Ability to follow directionsand ask for guidance inside of a controlled production scheduleReliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.Ability to stand bend and lift for extended periods of time.BenefitsCompetitive pay ranging from $18.00 to $25.00 per hour paid semi-monthly.
