This position is based in our facility in Mansfield, Ohio and plays a key role throughout our product lifecycle through design, supply, manufacture, and customer application for both manufactured products and aftermarket services.IDEAL ELECTRIC CONFORMANCE STATEMENTIn the performance of their respective tasks and duties, all employees are expected to conform to the following:Represent the company with respect by conducting business in a professional and ethical manner Interact professionally and respectfully with customers, suppliers, and other employees  Complete assigned work in compliance with policies and procedures, and within deadlines, with or without direct supervision; when required, record and maintain accurate records pertaining to work performed   Apply job knowledge and safety and quality training in all aspects of workClosely adhere to safety and security standards and proceduresWork effectively as a team contributor and, work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizationsProvide world-class customer service and customer-facing skillsESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:Execute pre-painting activities prior to painting if necessary, including cleaning, grinding, scraping, sanding, patching, caulking, smoothing, and masking of adjacent surfaces Perform brush and spray painting techniques on a variety of component parts, subassemblies, finished parts, and assemblies, including plant equipment and machinesMix and apply all types of paint evenly to the desired finish, masking non-painted areasRemove and replace filters when required, and clean filter racksClean paint booths, supplies, and equipment at the completion of the projectMaintain an inventory of paint and supplies according to management directionComply with OSHA/SDS guidelines with respect to the use, storage, and disposal of hazardous chemicalsSupport team on special maintenance projects as neededOperate overhead cranes and powered industrial trucks (PIT) as neededComplete and submit manufacturing, quality, and other company-required documents when necessaryContribute to workplace safety by following safety policies and practicing good housekeeping protocolsSupport the company’s quality objectives by following quality policies and proceduresDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIESHigh school diploma or certified equivalentMinimum of two years working in a manufacturing environmentIndustrial painting experience preferred, including familiarity with various paint types, techniques, application methods, and color matchingExperience preparing parts for painting, including sanding, grinding, cleaning, and masking, etc.Must be able to pass the respirator fit testAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsAbility to read and understand prints, use logic, and troubleshoot problemsTeamwork approach with excellent communication skillsExceptional attention to detail and time-management skillsExperience of operating equipment such as pneumatic and electric drill motor, pneumatic and electric grinder/sander, saber saw, band saw, electric tapper, steam cleaner, radial drill press, post drill, portable hand-operated hydraulic punch, hand and spray-painting equipment, paintbrushes, respirator masks, and paint suitsExperience operating various manufacturing equipment including forklifts, overhead cranes, and hoistsWORKING CONDITIONS AND WORK HOURSDaily minimum of 8 hours. Weekly 40 hour minimum. Overtime as required, subject to production schedules and may vary based upon specific department and customer needs.
