Painter / Sandblaster - Experience Required at ABR Employment Services

Location: Waunakee, WI
Employment Type: Full-time
Schedule: 6 AM to 2:30 PM Monday through Friday
Wage: $21 - $24 an hour depending on experience
ABR staffing is working with a custom metals fabrication manufacturer in Waunakee to recruit for a few Industrial Sandblaster / Painter roles Position Overview
The Industrial Sandblasting & Painting Technician will prepare, blast, and finish a variety of metal parts and components. The ideal candidate has experience in industrial painting or blasting, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
Must be able to sandblast and paint overhead for hours at a time, work on scaffolding and in semi-enclosed environment that can get very hot or cold depending on external weather. (Company does provide protective clothing and use of air helmet is required.) Key Responsibilities
- Perform sandblasting operations on metal components according to specifications
- Prepare surfaces through cleaning, masking, priming and proper setup
- Inspect finished parts for quality, thickness, and consistency
- Maintain equipment and work areas in accordance with safety and maintenance standards
- Follow all safety protocols, including PPE usage and hazardous material handling
- Work with supervisors to meet production timelines and quality requirements
Required:
- Experience in industrial sandblasting, wet painting (not powder coating), or related finishing processes
- Knowledge of spray equipment setup, operation, and cleaning
- Ability to read and follow technical instructions and safety guidelines
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs , stand for extended periods on scaffolding, and work in industrial environments
$44k - $50k is fair for Fine Artists, Including Painters, Sculptors, and Illustrators nationally
