Join our team and be a part of the change!GRADE ASTD10 LOCATION OF POSITION MDH Spring Grove Hospital CenterCatonsville MD 21228Main Purpose of Job The main purpose of this position is to prepare and paint the interior and exterior surfaces to the Hospital and Tenant occupied buildings at the advanced level of trades work under general supervision of the Maintenance Chief lII or IV. This position does not supervise but may lead semi-skilled employees. This is an Emergency Essential position required to have and maintain a valid Maryland Drivers License and able to drive State Vehicles in accordance with State of Maryland Policies and Procedures for Drivers of State Vehicles MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation: Completion of the Eighth grade.Experience: Four years of experience in painting work.Notes:1. Candidates may substitute additional painting experienceon a year-for-year basis for up to two years of the required education.2. Candidates may substitute a certificate or a diploma from an accredited vocational school or technical high school with a concentration in paintingfor up to three years of the required painting experience. may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in Painters Construction and Maintenance classifications or Painters Construction and Maintenance specialty codes in the Painting field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.SELECTION PROCESSApplicants who meet the minimum (and selective) qualifications will be included in further evaluation.
