Job Description
As a Paralegal/Legal Assistant at Bisceglie & Associates, you will play a crucial role in supporting our legal team. You will work on a diverse range of cases related to labor, construction, and litigation law, providing essential assistance to our attorneys.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct legal research and analysis to assist attorneys in case preparation.
• Draft, edit, and proofread legal documents, contracts, and correspondence.
• Organize and manage case files, documents, and evidence.
• Maintain and update legal databases and case management systems.
• Assist with trial preparation, including document preparation and witness coordination.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel as necessary.
• Schedule and manage appointments, court dates, and meetings for attorneys.
• Perform administrative tasks, such as filing, photocopying, and data entry.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in relevant laws and regulations.
Qualifications
• Legal experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
• Must be tech-savvy and comfortable learning new legal software, databases, and case management systems quickly.
• Experience preparing for trial in local and/or federal courts a plus.
• Proficiency in legal research and writing.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
