DescriptionScheduleFull-Time: 40 Hours/WeeklyPosition will work Chambersburg ALS MICU 0700-1900 on a platoon rotation in the Su We Thu Mo Tu Fr Sa rotationGeneral SummaryResponds to EMS calls and performs a variety of functions related to the care and treatment of patients suffering from urgent and emergent disease and/or injury states in accordance with appropriate rules regulations and protocols. according to PA DOH EMS Act and scope of practice.ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions:Responds to EMS calls observes safety policies and operates an emergency vehicle with due regard for others.Prepares hangs monitors and administers I.V. fluids.Provides health care instruction/education to patient and family members.Prepares patients for scheduled procedures and assists in patient assessment.Responds to emergency calls as a single Advanced Life Support ProviderCommon Expectations:Prepares and maintains written documentation as required by the profession and the department.Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of the assigned patient population. Assesses and interprets patient age specific data and provides appropriate age specific treatment.
