SCOPE: To assist certified personnel in achieving instructional goals through participation in curricular activities andsupervision of students.QUALIFICATIONSPARAPROFESSIONAL I (GRADE 18):EDUCATION AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:REQUIRED: High School diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 60 semester hours from an accredited educational institution with at least 30 semesterhours in general education core curriculum and/or child development and education or successfulcompletion of the ParaPro test with a score of 457 or higher. Experience working with children with disabilities. Satisfactory completion of Verbal De-Escalation required within 90 days of appointment andmaintained annually. Separate Class Placement and 1:1 positions - Satisfactory completion of CPI training required within90 days of appointment and maintained annually.PARAPROFESSIONAL II (GRADE 19):EDUCATION AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:REQUIRED: Associates degree or higher from an accredited educational institution required. Experience working with children with disabilities. Satisfactory completion of Verbal De-Escalation required within 90 days of appointment andmaintained annually.
