Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary: $20.00 per hour plus mileageParent AideJob descriptionPosition: Parent-AideJob Description:Parenting skills education and training to clients in areas of communication skills, budgeting skills, socialization skills, anger management, stress management, activities of daily living, problem solving, community linkage, behavioral management, appropriate child disciplinary techniques, environmental safety, resource identification. Available to help provide services in any or all of the following counties; Butts, Douglas, Clayton, Cobb, Coweta, Dekalb, Fayette, Fulton, Gwinnett, Jackson, Newton Rockdale and surrounding counties.Core Duties & Responsibilities: Weekly home or community contacts hours with assigned parent case load. Perform weekly direct contact with identified parent case load. Educate parents on identifying community resources (i.e., housing, social support services, School resources, financial resources, summer camp programs recreational programs, healthcare, transportation, education, and vocation.) Educate parents on anger management skills, communication skills, budgeting skills, home management/organizational skills, planning and scheduling of routine appointments for children/youth self-care practices, healthy socialization skills, coping skills, mental health management, health care management. Assist parents with coordinating, planning, and arranging transportation services for children/youth for therapy appointments school activities, recreational programs, health care/dental appointments etc.Skills Required:Demonstrates understanding of the Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS) and assists clients in identifying, securing, and sustaining a range of resources needed to facilitate family independence.3-5 years of work experience in behavioral modification, parenting skills training, and education (Preferred)Knowledge of the DSM-IV diagnosis in adults, children/youthKnowledge of crisis management interventions, intensive case management, and other rehabilitation supports preferred for families and their children/youth.Knowledge of the BIRP Progress note documentation.Group psychoeducation experience.Good verbal and written communication skills also, excellent interpersonal skills and team player concepts.Must have reliable transportationJob Type: Part-timePay: $20.00 per hour plus mileageSchedule: Monday to Friday Weekends as neededLanguage: Bilingual (Preferred)License/Certification: Driver's License (Preferred)Willingness to travel: 100% (Preferred)Work Location: In Community
