The Associate will develop, deliver and evaluate programs utilizing the mobile units to agents and SC stakeholders. This individual will be assigned to serve on the Food Systems and Safety Extension Program Team. Other duties as assigned.JOB DUTIES:75% - Essential - Designs, develops, and implements food safety curriculum to agents and SC stakeholders. Coordintes the transportation, upkeep and delivery of programs utilizing the mobile units. Collaborates with the Food Systems and Safety team on food safety Extension programs related to food safety. Develops Extension Publications and other scientific-based materials for Clemson Cooperative Extension. Develops and maintains applied research in food safety and preservation that produces the scholarly requirements of the assigned job title.15% - Essential - Designs, develops and implements a Food Systems and Safety Extension Program for target audiences.5% - Essential - Facilitates communication within Clemson Cooperative Extension, and the Food Systems and Safety team, and other stakeholders by attending meetings (discipline specific departmental meetings, program team meetings, industry organization meetings and others) when necessary; by answering emails, phones calls and other work-related communications; and working with media specialists to disseminate information and market/publicize Clemson Cooperative Extension and the Food Systems and Safety program team.5% - Essential - Maintains and submits in a timely manner internal reports (Salesforce or similar reports), and updates/data as requested by the CAFLS Dean, Department Chair, Extension Director, and Food Systems and Safety Program Team Leadership.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Education - Master's Degree - Food Science, Agriculture or other related field.Work Experience - 1+ years applied knowledge of home food preservation. Experience with upkeep, transportation and setup of 20ft. trailers equipped with RV-type facilities.
