Job Title: Part-Time Administrative Coordinator, School of Education Location: Padron Campus Regular/Temporary: Temporary Full/Part Time: Part-Time Job ID: 1008073 Job Details Job FamilySTAFF- Support StaffGradeCTSalary$14.00 - $22.13DepartmentSchool of EducationReports ToProgram ManagerClosing DateOpen Until FilledFLSA StatusNon-ExemptFirst Review DateFebruary 13, 2025Position Overview The Part-Time Administrative Coordinator assists the School of Education in facilitating the day-to-day office operation.What you will be doing Provides administrative support to the operations of the School of Education (SOE) officeAssists with general SOE questions and issuesAssists students by providing general information about SOE programsCommunicates and provides information by relevant methods, internally and externally, to assist and enable organizational operationsFiles, answers phones and sorts incoming mailPrepares flyers for the School of EducationMaintains appropriate records for administrative personnelContacts students on a regular basisGenerates responses to student’s inquiriesMaintains and updates student’s foldersWorks cooperatively with other departments within Miami Dade College and the CommunityAttends Community and College fairs to provide information regarding the SOEManages a database to track studentsCreates and maintains reports and spreadsheets using a variety of data sources, including mainframe, Access, Excel, Word, and Power PointAssists with the coordination of special eventsPerforms other duties as assignedWhat you need to succeed Associate's degree from a regionally accredited institution and two (2) years of experience as a secretary performing related work of a progressively complex natureAll degrees must be from a regionally accredited institutionKnowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and proceduresPossess experience in detailed record keeping practices Ability to work independently with limited supervision Possess good interpersonal skills Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with other employees and the community Possess highly developed organizational and clerical skills with an emphasis on precision Proficiency in Microsoft Office ApplicationsAbility to maintain complex records, meets deadlines, assemble and organize data Ability to work evenings and weekends as neededAbility to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff Additional Requirements The final candidate is to successfully complete a background screening and reference check process.
