The individual will be part of a collegewide team of Adult Education instructors and assist in developing curriculum, selecting textbooks, software and materials.What you will be doing Maintains a high quality program of instructionWorks with Recruitment and Retention Specialists to develop best practices and learner oriented strategies to maintain high rates of retention and measurable successAssists the Program Director in recruiting, training and monitoring part-time instructional personnel and tutorsPerforms other duties as assignedWhat you need to succeed Bachelor's degree in a related field from a regionally accredited institution with three (3) years of relevant teaching experience; or Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution and two (2) years of relevant teaching experienceMust possess excellent organizational and communication skillsAbility to use computer applicationsKnowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives and policies and proceduresKnowledge of ABE/GED curriculum that includes math, language arts, science and social studiesAbility to use computer applications and willing to work in computer lab environmentPossess excellent oral and written communication skillsPossess strong interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse communityProficiency in Microsoft office software and specific computer programs related to area of responsibilityAbility to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situationsAbility to read, analyze and interpret student test scores (TABE, GED Practice Test) and reportsAbility to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignmentsAbility to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staffAdditional Requirements The final candidate is to successfully complete a background screening and reference check process.
