JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTSPenn State Scranton a member of the Penn State University Athletic Conference is accepting applications for Assistant Coach in the sport of Baseball within the Department of Athletics.This is a part time non-benefited position that carries with it an in-season monthly stipend and hourly pay in the off season.The Assistant Coach will be responsible forcompetition andpractice preparationand coachingplayer development recruitingand administration under the Head Coach.The successful candidate must be well versed in the sport of baseball with previous coaching and/or playing experience. This position requires strict adherence to the PSUAC United States Collegiate Athletic AssociationandNCAArules as well as all university policies and procedures. Primary hours are in-season from February to April however off-season work is required.BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCESThis position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid drivers license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.CAMPUS SECURITY CRIME STATISTICSPursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988 Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR).
