All teachers are responsible for general classroom management and supervision, which includes the personal care, hygiene, and positive discipline of the children.The Support Staff role is a vital position that requires a positive attitude, creativity, collaboration, and—most importantly—the versatility to work in any of our classrooms with children ranging from 6 weeks to school age. If this sounds like the opportunity you've been looking for—and if you’re motivated by smiles and hugs from children—then we encourage you to click Apply Now!RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for helping prepare and implementing proprietary curriculum, and assist in completing assessments and reports for the children dailyHelps and supervises children during all activitiesSpeak with parents and/or guardians during pick-up and drop-off hoursCounsels children when social, academic, or adjustment problems when they ariseEnsures that the appearance, cleanliness, and environment of the classroom are appropriately maintained and safeHelps children with meal times and clean-upAssist classrooms ranging from young infant to school-age children in areas such as: paperwork, daily notes, student accident reports, and attendance reportsAttends and participates in staff meetings, academy events, and parent meetings as requestedPerforms other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSMust meet all requirements stipulated by the state for this positionMust be able to adapt to teaching in any of the Academy classroomsMust have a high school diploma or equivalent and be at least 18 years of OR must be in a high school work study program relating to the area of child carePleasant/friendly demeanor and an outgoing personalityHighly professional and dependableMust be able to interact appropriately with students of all ages and skill levels as well as with parents, coworkers, and managementMust be able to lift no less than 40 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the workday to at least waist high
