What you will be doing Provides note-taking assistance to students with disabilitiesAssists students with disabilities in the ACCESS Lab(s) and provides academic supportAssists with accommodated proctoring by monitoring students with disabilities during assessmentsServes as a reader and/or scribe for students with disabilitiesArranges the placement of special furniture or accessibility equipment in classrooms or labs throughout campus, and assists in distribution of accessibility aidsProvides front desk coverage, including greeting students, providing general information on available services and eligibility proceduresAssists with daily operations, including scheduling student appointments and servicesAssists with training Auxiliary Aids and Services staff as assignedSupports retention and enrollment management initiativesPerforms other duties as assigned What you need to succeed Associate's degree from a regionally accredited institution and three (3) years of experience working with students with disabilitiesAll degrees must be from a regionally accredited institutionKnowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and proceduresPossess organizational and clerical skills, including computer application skills in Microsoft Office, Navigate and PeoplesoftPossess solid judgment and decision-making abilitiesDemonstrates accuracy and proficiency in note taking skillsAbility to work independently with limited supervisionKnowledge of HIPPA and FERPA protocols, and handling of confidential documentationAbility to work a flexible schedule to include evening and weekend assignmentsAbility to work well with students, faculty and staffAdditional Requirements The final candidate is to successfully complete a background screening and reference check process.
