JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTSThe Central Pennsylvania Research and Teaching Laboratory for Biofuels (CPRTLB) is looking to hire part-time research assistants to assist with metabolic engineering of industrial hemp.Job DutiesPreparation of tissue culture media growth hormones and culture of explants under sterile conditions.Assist with DNA RNA and Protein isolation.Routine upkeep of the laboratory and Greehouse.Collect analyze data and involve in publishing papers as co- authors.Assist with working on cancer cell lines and engineering cannabinoid pathway genes in .Assist PI and Director of the laboratory with other duties as assigned.BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCESEmployment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.CAMPUS SECURITY CRIME STATISTICSPursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988 Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR).
