The instructor will design and implement curricula that equip adult learners with the skills necessary to excel in today's competitive job market.What you will be doing Provides instruction in workforce development programs designed to upskill adult learnersDevelops and delivers curriculum focused on industry-specific certifications and job readinessFacilitates interactive classroom discussions and hands-on activitiesAssess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedbackStays updated with current industry trends to ensure course content remains relevantMaintains accurate records of attendance and student performanceDevelops and delivers workforce-aligned instructional materials for adult learnersDesigns curriculum to prepare students for industry-recognized credentials or digital badgesFacilitates in-person or virtual instruction that supports hands-on, career-focused learningAssesses student learning outcomes and provides timely, constructive feedbackIncorporates current industry trends and labor market needs into course contentMaintains accurate records including attendance, grades, and progress reportsEngages in continuous curriculum improvement and adaptation for diverse learnersCollaborates with program coordinators to align instruction with institutional goalsParticipates in departmental meetings and professional development opportunitiesPerforms other duties as assignedWhat you need to succeed Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, or related field and at least three (3) years of professional experience in workforce development or a related areaPrior teaching experience, preferably with adult learnersExperience with curriculum development and instructional technologyKnowledge of adult learning theory and workforce education best practicesUnderstanding of industry certifications, digital badges, and training pathwaysAbility to design and deliver instruction aligned with industry needsProficiency with learning management systems and digital instructional toolsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlinesAbility to adapt instruction to diverse learners and flexible delivery formatsKnowledge of labor market trends and occupational competenciesSkill in student assessment, curriculum development, and lesson planningAbility to build a positive, inclusive classroom environmentPreferences Master’s degree preferredAdditional Requirements The final candidate is to successfully complete a background screening and reference check process.
