Since opening our award winning campus in 2003, the college has experienced record growth and supports an exciting learning environment that brings together state-of-the-art technology and active, collaborative learning.Location address is 9191 Barker Cypress Road, Cypress, TX 77433.Job Description PURPOSE AND SCOPE:Under general/limited supervision of the Division Operations Manager, this position is responsible for the part-time management of a Fitness Center on campus.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Supervises, hires, trains and schedules Fitness Center employeesResponsible for equipment inventory, inspection and maintenance of fitness center and exercise science department equipmentMaintains a sanitary, safe and orderly work environmentMonitors and controls resourcesProvides basic equipment instruction and fitness information as neededImplements effective operations and ensures rules and regulations are enforcedProvides basic first aid if necessaryReports and resolves complaintsCoordinates events including but not limited to marketing, scheduling, and organizing activities with the Recreational Sports Manager, Exercise Science Department and the Wellness Committee as related to the fitness center facilityProvide excellent customer serviceResponsible for other reasonable related duties as assignedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Ability to cooperate and work well with other staff membersMust have good communication skillsHave basic knowledge of fitness equipment and exercisePHYSICAL ABILITIES:Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
