What you will be doing Assists the Culinary Outsourcing Specialist in requesting the purchase of materials, parts, supplies, food, wine, equipment and other commoditiesProcesses shipping and receiving orders for merchandise including uniforms, knives, food and non-food items for student labsAssists in maintaining inventory control database using MICROS POS systemAssists with inventory control activities on all of the food, beverage and equipment stored in the facilityBuilds and stocks carts for different teaching labs based on requisitions and restock par levelsAssists with preparation of daily, weekly and monthly reports of purchase transactionsPerforms other duties as assignedWhat you need to succeed Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution; or Associate’s degree and two (2) years of experience; or thirty (30) credits and three (3) years related experienceAll degrees must be from a regionally accredited institutionKnowledge and understanding of College organization, goals, and objectives, and policies and proceduresKnowledge of Micros POS systemAbility to express ideas clearly and concisely, verbally and in written format to groups and individualsPossess effective work practices such as correct storage, handling, use and disposal procedures of various chemicalsAbility to work in high/low environment and be able to stand four to five hours a dayAbility to prioritize and organize multiple tasks to meet deadlinesKnowledge of general office practices and procedures and ability to handle a high volume office environmentPossess excellent organizational skillAbility to coordinate the workload for various simultaneous tasksAbility to create and maintain records, enter and retrieve large amounts of dataAbility to work a flexible schedule to include evening and weekend assignmentsAbility to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff Additional Requirements The final candidate is to successfully complete a background screening and reference check process.
