Part Time Custodian at PrideStaff

Location: Mesa, AZ

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 11:00 AM

The primary responsibility of the Custodian is to maintain the cleanliness and safety of the facility by performing various sanitation tasks, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming building floors. This role requires a dependable individual capable of working independently to ensure a high standard of facility maintenance.

• Waste Management: Gather and empty all trash and recycling receptacles throughout the facility.

• Equipment Operation: Safely operate waste compactors, floor scrubbers, and other heavy maintenance equipment.

• Facility Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance duties and general upkeep of assigned areas.

• Ad-hoc Tasks: Assist with other cleaning or maintenance duties as assigned by management.

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following:

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred.

• Experience operating a floor scrubber is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform continuous physical activity including bending, reaching, stretching, and standing/walking for the duration of the shift.

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and move up to 70 pounds (or more) repeatedly.

• Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude.

Skills & Abilities

• Technical: Ability to operate (or willingness to learn) powered industrial equipment.

• Mathematical: Basic math skills are required.

• Soft Skills: Excellent time management, strong attendance history, and the ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision.

• Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
