Candidates must meet Miami Dade College Faculty Credential Statement faculty teaching qualifications, including SACSCOC’s Principles of Accreditation minimum criteria: A Master’s degree in the teaching discipline of the assigned course(s) or a Master’s degree and at least 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline of the assigned course(s).What you will be doing Teaches lecture and laboratory sectionsEvaluates and advises studentsDevelops curriculaRecruits studentsServes on committeesParticipates in departmental and College affairsPerforms other duties as assignedWhat you need to succeed Master's Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Education, Social Work, Guidance and Counseling or a related behavioral science; or a Master's Degree and 18 graduate hours in Psychology, Sociology, Education, Social Work, Guidance and Counseling or a related behavioral scienceAll educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institutionPossess excellent communication skills (Verbal and Written)Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with studentsMust be able to work well with students, faculty, staff and the communityMust be able to work in a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural environmentAbility to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments
