Part-Time Extension Program Assistant, Putnam County UTIA at University of Tennessee

DescriptionThis is a part time county funded 4-H Youth Development Program Assistant II is responsible to the County Extension Director and works under the direction of the lead 4-H Youth Development Agent to implement approved educational programs in group settings to youth audiences in the area of 4-H Youth Development. This position will assist with conducting educational programs and maintaining program records. This position will plan execute and evaluate 4-H educational programs under the direction of the 4-H Youth Development Agent and the County Director. This is a county-funded position and is contingent upon the continued funding from the county.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate effectively with community and state-level partners to implement specific program components of 4-H Youth Development Program.Assist in the delivery and maintenance of the 4-H Youth Development Program in the county.Maintain and grow positive partnerships with local organizations vendors agencies and general public in support of the 4-H Youth Development ProgramAssist with community needs assessments and evaluation requirements as needed.Provide leadership for a program of activities that meets the needs of all eligible clientele regardless of race color national origin sex age disability religion or veteran status.Assume other duties as assigned.Be responsible for up to 20 hours per week.QualificationsRequired Qualifications:High School diploma GED or equivalentTwo to three years of related experience desiredRequired Knowledge Skills and Abilities:Strong written and verbal communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Word Excel Publisher and Word PerfectPreferred Qualifications:Associates degreeTeaching experiencePreferred Knowledge Skills & Abilities:Teaching skills to adult and youthWork Location:Putnam County Cookeville TNCompensation and Benefits:Find more information on the UT Market Range structurehereFind more information on UT BenefitshereAbout UT Extension:UT Extension provides a gateway to the University of Tennessee as the outreach unit of the Institute of Agriculture.
