Job Posting: Part-Time FirefighterThe City Fire Department is seeking motivated Part-Time Firefighters to support daily staffing and serve alongside our full-time crews. This paid non-benefitted position allows up to 999 hours of work annually.Position to begin in January 2026.Responsibilities:Respond to emergencies and perform firefighting rescue and EMS support dutiesMaintain monthly training and readiness requirementsWork 1224 hour shifts as scheduled primarily at Station 2Follow department policies safety standards and supervision from company officersMinimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentValid drivers licenseAbility to pass a physical ability test and background/medical screeningsFirefighter I (within 6 months of hire)HazMat Awareness/OperationsEMT certification requiredSchedule & Pay:Up to 96 hours per pay period / 999 hours per yearHourly compensation starting at $15.17/hour(Recruit or Firefighter grade based on certifications)This job description does not exclusively outline the duties expected of the employee in this role.
