Job Title: Part-Time Hospitality Institute (Non-Credit) In-Service Instructor Location: Wolfson Campus Regular/Temporary: Temporary Full/Part Time: Part-Time Job ID: 1008111 Job Details Job FamilySTAFF- Part-Time InstructorGradeHMSalary$32.00 - Base RateDepartmentHospitality InstituteReports ToChairpersonClosing DateOpen Until FilledFLSA StatusExempt - Not Eligible for Overtime CompensationFirst Review DateMarch 11, 2025Position Overview The Part-Time Hospitality Institute Non-Credit In-Service Instructor teaches hospitality and job readiness skills, delivers train the trainer workshops and conducts employee training and team building workshops.What you will be doing Teaches lecture and hands-on training sections relating to general hospitality and job readiness subject matterPrepares and distributes course outline/syllabi to students and maintains accurate attendance recordsProctors mid-term exams, completion exams and industry certification examsDevelops teaching and learning strategies that optimize student performanceDevelops classroom materials and curriculumDelivers train the trainer workshops, conducts employee training and team building workshopsComplies with department and College policies and proceduresCompletes and submits all necessary documentation for grant complianceAttends and supports college, industry and community events and activitiesSubmits periodic reports to the Hospitality ChairpersonPerforms other duties as assignedWhat you need to succeed High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent from a regionally accredited institution and professional experience in academic and/or professional expertise in corresponding fieldAll educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institutionKnowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and proceduresPrior teaching or training experience including train the trainer and employee trainingKnowledge of hospitality industry, hospitality positions, and related software and technologyKnowledge of job readiness skills such as resumes, interviews and professional attireAbility to meet deadlines, work independently, resolve problems and make decisions in accordance with policies and proceduresExcellent communication skills (both written and oral)Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access and Power Point) and specific related software programs in the area of responsibilityAbility to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings and weekend assignmentsAbility to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staffAdditional Requirements The final candidate is to successfully complete a background screening and reference check process.
