Job Title: Part Time Instructor - Dept. of Aviation Science & Management (Eastman Campus) Location: MGA Eastman Campus Regular/Temporary: Regular Full/Part Time: Part-Time Job ID: 289327 About Us Middle Georgia State University (MGA), a multi-campus, baccalaureate and graduate degree granting public institution, is the most affordable public state university in Georgia. Job Summary This position is primarily responsible for teaching undergraduate courses (depending on degree) in areas to include, but not limited to: aircraft systems, crew resource management, flight operations, and FAR Part 141 ground school courses.Responsibilities Teach various Aviation Maintenance Technology courses in areas to include, but not limited to the FAA General curriculum.Advise aviation students on academic and career aspirations.Develop course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, tests, and lab projects. Maintain training aids.Instruct Aviation Maintenance Technology courses in the classroom, labs and shop. Evaluate student achievement and competence. Collaborate with faculty and occupational advisory committee.Required Qualifications Required Educational QualificationsMaster¿s Degree required.Required ExperienceIf Master¿s or Doctorate Degree is not in Aviation, extensive experience in Aviation along with a Master¿s or Doctorate Degree will be required for this position.Other Required QualificationsDemonstrate ability to teach a broad array of aviation training courses.Preferred Qualifications Preferred Educational QualificationsDoctorate DegreePreferred ExperienceCivilian aviation experience with a background in FAR Part 121 or 135 operations preferredOther Preferred QualificationsAlthough this position does not involve flight instruction, possession of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Certificated Flight Instructor rating (CFI) and/or Ground Instructor certificates (AGI, IGI) is preferred.
