DescriptionPart-Time Instructor/Assistant Professor General Practice Residency (GPR) Dentistry Program KnoxvillePart-Time 80%ResponsibilitiesNon-tenure track external searchHelps residents develop presentations using photographs PowerPoint and other computer skills;Helps develop and implement the program curriculum;Assists Program Director in the evaluation of resident training in affiliated institutions and off-service rotations;Provides clinical patient care as directed by Program Director;Provides direct supervision of residents in patient care to include treatment planning treatment and follow-up care;Develops programs for resident instruction to include lectures seminars and/or clinical demonstrations.Participate in educational activities of the department including advisory board meetings faculty meetings journal club and clinical competency committee meetingsResponsible for supervision of dental residents and staff as assigned by the Program Director.Provides clinical patient care as directed by Program Director;Teaching residents including lecture mentorship and/or supervision in the clinic and OR.QualificationsBasic Qualifications Successful completion of a General Practice Residency Program or Advanced Education in General Dentistry program required. Tennessee Dental License required. Current DEA registration required. CPR and BCLS certificate required.Departmental Preferences: Previous teaching and supervisory experience preferred.
