Job Title: Part-Time Lab Instructor, Communications, Arts, & Philosophy Location: Padron Campus Regular/Temporary: Temporary Full/Part Time: Part-Time Job ID: 1007908 Job Details Job FamilySTAFF - Support StaffGradeH1Salary$14.22 - $17.62 (Based on Degree Earned)DepartmentCommunications, Arts, & PhilosophyReports ToLab Manager, Chairperson, or DirectorClosing DateOpen Until FilledFLSA StatusExempt - Not Eligible for Overtime CompensationFirst Review DateDecember 03, 2024Position Overview The Part-Time Lab Instructor supports the department in the delivery of instruction to present material to students who are pursuing classes.What you will be doing Researches, develops, and conducts workshops and orientations for studentsAssists in development of material Provides instruction in a lab setting or classroom settingEvaluates and grades student written work and software assignments Computes final lab student grades of end of term for all lab courses Maintains students’ records, academic progress and attendance rosters as assignedProvides training for other lab staff members on lab policy and procedures Participates in workshops and trainings Serves on Campus committees as neededPerforms other duties as assignedWhat you need to succeed Bachelor’s degree in related field and one (1) year of teaching experienceAll degrees must be from a regionally accredited institutionKnowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and proceduresPossess well-developed communication skills (Verbal and Written)Ability to follow OSHA safety and proper disposal requirements in the laboratoryKnowledge and understanding of student and faculty requirements for lab procedures, skills, and testingAbility to positively interact with staff, students, and facultyPossess a friendly demeanor and provide intelligent solutionsKnowledge of computer applications and educational technologies for academic supportPossess an aptitude for teaching and interest in working with students Ability to work a flexible schedule to include evening and weekend assignments Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staffAdditional Requirements The final candidate is to successfully complete a background screening and reference check process.
