Job Title: Part-Time Lab Technician II, Natural Science, Health and Wellness Location: Wolfson Campus Regular/Temporary: Temporary Full/Part Time: Part-Time Job ID: 1008896 Job Details Job FamilySTAFF - Support StaffGradeB5Salary$14.09 - $17.15DepartmentNatural Science, Health and Wellness Reports ToDepartment ChairpersonClosing DateOpen Until FilledFLSA StatusNon-ExemptFirst Review DateOctober 30, 2025Position Overview The Lab Technician conducts open lab hours to assist faculty in the day-to-day laboratory operations at a local or divisional site.What you will be doing Ensures that Students and faculty have adequate resources to perform all aspects of course requirementsAssists Student-Aids to perform all required job duties safely and maintains competency recordsEnsures that there are adequate resources and supplies for teachingMaintains an "open door policy" and communicates with student, faculty, and administration to promote development and accountabilityAssists Lab Manager in organizing lab for teaching and testingOrganizes and inventories adequate suppliesEnsures deliveries are checked & stocked properlyReports malfunctions, discrepancies, & other issues related to the use of equipment and materials to the Lab ManagerPerforms other duties as assignedWhat you need to succeed Associates degree in related field from a regionally accredited institution or two (2) years of College (60 credits equivalent) and one (1) year of related experienceAll degrees must be from a regionally accredited institutionKnowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and proceduresAbility to follow OSHA safety and proper disposal requirements in the laboratoryKnowledge and understanding of student and faculty requirements for lab procedures, skills, and testingAbility to positively interact with staff, students, and facultyPossess a friendly demeanor and provide intelligent solutionsPossess good communication skills both orally and in writingAbility to work a flexible work schedule that may include evening and weekend assignmentsAbility to work well with students, faculty and staffAdditional Requirements The final candidate is to successfully complete a background screening and reference check process.
