Job Description Support attorneys on a single high-profile case from initial filings through trial and post-trial work.Manage case files deadlines and calendars; track caseload requirements and billable time.Conduct legal research on statutes regulations case law and legal articles.Draft and proofread pleadings discovery responses motions correspondence and hearing/trial materials.Request organize and analyze medical and billing records; summarize key findings for attorneys.Assist with deposition preparation including witness and expert research and exhibit preparation.Coordinate with clients witnesses experts and opposing counsel to schedule meetings depositions and court appearances.Handle e-filing in Missouri Kansas and federal courts as needed.Provide administrative support related to the case including proofreading citation checking and document organization. Qualifications 2 years of prior legal experience with a focus on litigation; experience in medical injury product liability or wrongful death is strongly preferred.Paralegal or legal assistant background with exposure to complex civil litigation.High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelors degree and/or paralegal certificate preferred.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook.Solid understanding of court rules filing procedures and litigation terminology.Exceptional organization attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Professional communication skills and comfort working directly with attorneys clients and external parties.
