Together, our schools provide individualized, student-centered learning environments that support executive functioning, academic growth, and social-emotional development for students with diverse learning needs.

As a Part-Time Math Teacher at Silver Hill Hospital, you will provide supportive, differentiated instruction to help students regain academic confidence as they progress through treatment. You will create a calm, structured classroom environment where learning and emotional growth are equally valued, and where every student experiences consistent, responsive support.

What You'll Need
  • Valid Connecticut Mathematics Teaching Certification
  • Bachelor's degree in education or a related field
  • Relevant classroom experience in secondary math instruction
  • Strong understanding of differentiated, student-centered learning
  • Connecticut special education certification or experience in mental health, special education, or clinical settings
What You'll Do
  • Teach high school mathematics courses including Algebra I and II, Geometry, Pre Calculus, and Statistics
  • Deliver flexible, differentiated instruction that supports varied learning profiles and readiness levels
  • Partner with the clinical team to align academic expectations with individual treatment needs
  • Adjust pacing and instructional hours based on daily census and program requirements
  • Collaborate with a co-teacher in a shared classroom when student numbers exceed six
