C3/A4 MURRIETA CA 92562The Back Office Medical Assistant plays a vital role in supporting clinical operations by assisting providers with patient care performing clinical procedures and maintaining accurate medical records. This position ensures smooth patient flow adheres to compliance standards and contributes to a positive patient experience.What Youll Do:Clinical ResponsibilitiesProvides high-quality customer service and adheres to quality control standardsCoordinates patient care per physician instructions and company policiesEscorts patients to exam rooms per company protocolsPrepares patients for exams by taking histories and explaining proceduresConducts and documents patient intakeAssists in dermatologic procedures (biopsies excisions phototherapy cosmetic treatments) using sterile techniquesSupports routine lab tests (e.g. skin scrapings swabs)Apply topical treatments or dressings under provider supervisionCaptures clinical photos for documentation and comparisonAccurately documents patient care in medical records promptlySend prescriptions during visits and verify accuracy with providerSterilizes instruments and keeps exam rooms clean by safety standardsUploads and maintains pathology AK MOHS and FBX logsVerifies pathology log details (patient info diagnosis site lab routing)Keeps cancer logs current and accurateStocks rooms monitors supplies and alerts managers when lowMaintains strict patient confidentialityPerforms additional patient care tasks to support providersPatient Education & SupportAsking every patient for a google review.Educate patients on skin care routines including post-procedure care and sunscreen use.Explain treatment plans and follow-up instructions to help patients understand their care journey.Provide compassionate support for patients dealing with chronic skin conditions or cancerAdministrative ResponsibilitiesGreetings and checks in patients verifying personal and medical detailsCollecting all pertinent information at check in (MIPS Questionnaire)Updating the PA log ensure codes are entered correctly.Checks prescriptions throughout the day verify highlight and confirm accuracySchedules appointments and manages follow-up and procedure calendarsHandles calls messages Klaras Tandem and responds to inquiries including medication refills and general questionsMakes timely outbound calls as neededProcesses prior authorizations and communicates with insurance providersOrders and organizes medical supplies to maintain inventory levelsAttends meetings and completes assigned trainings timelyWhat Were Looking For:Required Skills / AbilitiesDemonstrates strong clinical skills with sharp attention to detailCommunicates effectively and builds rapport with patients and team membersProficient in EHR systems and Microsoft Office SuiteHandles sensitive patient concerns with professionalism and discretionPrepares and administers injections (Kenalog Lidocaine Epinephrine)Assists in minor surgical procedures and wound care using sterile techniquesAdheres to infection control and safety protocolsUnderstands and comply with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentialityPractices universal precautions consistentlyCollects and processes lab specimens accuratelyIn-depth knowledge of medical terminology and dermatologic procedures (Mohs biopsies excisions radiation); skilled in-patient instructionMultitasks efficiently in fast-paced clinical settingsEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is a plus.Certification (CMA RMA or equivalent) preferred.12 years of clinical experience in a medical office preferred.EQUIPMENT & SOFTWARE OPERATIONThe incumbent in this position may operate any/all of the following equipment:Microsoft 365 apps fax email phone Klara EMA ModMed iPAD NoahFace (biometric timeclock) Tandem CoverMyMeds LabCorp (software for looking up labs results and ordering supplies) Quest diagnosticsWhat We Offer:Competitive salary and benefitsHealth dental vision and ancillary insurance options401K retirement savingsPaid time offProfessional development opportunitiesSupportive and fair work environmentApply Today!Be a part of a dynamic team thats transforming skin health.
