Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour DOEPart-Time Nutrition Services Assistant - Phoenix Main CampusAZACS is growing, and we invite you to apply to be part of our award-winning team!AZACS was awarded the2023/2024 National ESEA Distinguished Schools Awardfor Arizona and the2022 YASS Prizefor innovation in education and providing a transformational experience by expanding unique individualized learning programs for autism charter schools.Arizonas first and only autism-focused charter school is expanding and seeking a part-time SchoolNutrition Service Assistant for the NSLP (National School Lunch Program) to prepare, serve, and document student activity at the Phoenix Campus.Under the supervision and direction of the Student Nutrition Manager, the School Nutrition Service Assistant will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the food programs at the Main Campus.This position is 27.5 hours per week with the hours of Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.We are looking for a reliable and committed individual who is available to start this school year and continue into the next school year.Duties: Prepares food service for consumption by students Responsible for production records, temperature records, and sanitation standards at the Phoenix Main Campus Maintains food service facilities and equipment in a neat, clean, safe, and sanitary condition. Maintains clean and sanitized workstations, counters, steam tables, and other equipment.Manages and/or assists with the receipt, storage, and rotation of food items and supplies. Manages and/or assists with appropriate inventory control processes.Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this position.Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent Valid Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card Food handlers certificate or willing to obtainExperience working in a school is preferredExperience working with children on the autism spectrum preferredBenefits: Competitive pay based on experience Paid Sick TimeCalm Health account access is available for you and up to 5 of your loved onesADA AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:Positions in this class require: stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, fingering, grasping,feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.Light Work:Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.Working Conditions:Work is routinely performed in an indoor classroom environment.The information contained in this job description is for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and is not an exhaustive list of the duties performed by this position.
