Job Title:Title 1 Small Group Instructor/TutorQualifications:Bachelors Degree and NC Educator Licenserequired.Reports to:Principal and Assistant PrincipalSupervises:Assigned small groups of students.Purpose of Position:Toprovidewell-planned and grade level appropriatetutoring sessions for assigned students in various content areas as aligned with student needs and achievement data to promote and assist with student success.Responsibilities Duties & Expectations:Shares in the responsibility of maintaining supervision of students andproviding instruction to small groups as assigned.Works collaborativelywith theteachers of studentsassigned to ensure that all small group instruction addresses individual learning needsFollows and implements approved behavior managementproceduresMaintains written lesson plans and tutor schedulesProvides recommendations toteachers and administrationconcerning studentperformance and achievementShares responsibility for ensuring that students aresafe at all timesFollows emergency procedures consistent with the district Crisis Response and EmergencyEvacuationPlansProvides recommendations for tutor program improvementMaintains confidentiality of student records and concernsParticipates in assigned training and workshopsPractices and maintains staff-student relationships which foster respect for staff and contribute to the positive self-esteem of the studentsPerforms other duties as assigned by the administrationEvaluation and Measurement of Performance:Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Boards policy on evaluation of support personnel. Evaluations will be conducted at any point and time during the school year and summer programs.Terms of Employment:Part-Time work schedule to be established by theschool administration on a year-to-year basis; Flat hourly rate as determined by the Board of Education.
