Part-Time Spanish Teacher - Merryhill School
What We Offer :
As a Part-Time Spanish Teacher at Merryhill School, you will introduce students to the fundamentals of the Spanish language while cultivating curiosity, cultural awareness, and foundational communication skills. Your classroom will be an encouraging, interactive environment where students learn through conversation, storytelling, games, and meaningful cultural exploration. This role typically requires 5 hours per day, totaling 25 hours per week.

You will also:
- Develop and deliver engaging Spanish lessons aligned with age-appropriate curriculum standards
- Encourage active participation through conversation practice, storytelling, games, and cultural activities
- Differentiate instruction to meet varying learning needs and language proficiencies
Foster a supportive classroom environment that builds confidence and cultural appreciation - Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues about progress and expectations
- Maintain classroom organization, student records, and instructional materials
- Bachelor's degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field from an accredited institution
- Teaching credential or certification in world language instruction preferred
- Prior teaching experience, particularly in elementary or middle school is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and classroom management skills
- Ability to pass state and federal background checks
- Enthusiasm for languages, culture, and inspiring young learners
