Ensures all LSC policies, practices and surrounding functions are carried out correctly.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Supervises the weight roomMaintains and cleans equipmentWelcomes guests to the Wellness CenterTeaches guests how to use the equipment and provides basic fitness informationEnsures rules and regulations are enforcedProvides basic first aid if necessaryReports and resolves complaintsMust be able to re-rack weight platesResponsible for cleaning equipment and surrounding floor space, cardiovascular machine, free weights and pin selectorResponsible for other reasonable related duties as assignedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Capable of lifting up to 45 poundsAbility to cooperate and work well with other staff membersGood communication skillsBasic knowledge of fitness equipment and exerciseCustomer service orientatedProficient in the use of computers and related software for word processing, spread sheets, and database management; Specific software experience in Windows and Microsoft OfficePHYSICAL ABILITIES:The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods of standing; walking over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; or recurring lifting of moderately heavy items.
