Recycling Worker (Part Time) at City of Highland Park Illinois

Primary responsibilities will be to collect, transport, and pack electronic recycling materials, foam products and other miscellaneous materials for recycling. Supervision Received: This position works under the direct supervision of Assistant to the Director of Public Works. This is a part-time position with work hours every Tuesday 6:30 AM to 1:00 PM and the first Saturday of every month, from 6:30 AM to 1:00 PM. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Collects materials for recycling from participants. Separates and packs items appropriately for transport to recycling facility; includes packing electronics in boxes, foam materials in collection bags, fluorescent bulbs in boxes, etc. Prepares and wraps items on pallet for transport. Professionally acknowledge and greet residents in daily interactions. Request and log information regarding resident's municipality and types of materials dropped off.
