Come join our team!We are looking for a Parts Counter Support person to join our Parts Department. Preferred candidates are collaborative but also work diligently on their own. Experience working in a parts department will be required. Must be available to work Tuesday - Saturday 8am - 5:30pm. Successful candidates are very precise workers and work with a sense of urgency.Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipmentsPrepare items for shipmentAssure proper control of parts inventory and related administrative functionsCount weigh or measure items on incoming and outgoing shipments and verify information against invoices orders and other recordsDetermine method of shipment utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures routes and ratesKeep all bins aisles and storage areas clean and clearly labeledMaintain receiving and shipping records delivery truck maintenance records and returned parts recordsUnpack and examine incoming shipments reject damaged items record shortages and correspond with the shipper to rectify damages and shortagesEnsure that outgoing shipments meet specificationsMaintain inventory of shipping materials and suppliesOrganize a schedule of deliveries Maintain cleanliness and operability of delivery truck Perform safe pick up and deliveriesThrive in and help contribute to a culture that values efficiencyKeep parts department up-to-date on delivery scheduleWork with Parts Manager to identify potential clientsComplete sales calls as determined by the Parts ManagerPerform all other duties as assignedDesired Skills Qualifications and Experience:One year of experience in a retail or wholesale parts department requiredHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredMust be able to operate heavy machinery (i.e. forklift pallet jack etc.)General computer knowledge requiredYou can interpret vendor catalogsThorough and organizedAbility to operate an automobile is a mustMust be available to work Tuesday - Saturday from 8am - 5:30pmExperience as a delivery driver is requiredMust be available to work Monday Friday from 8am 4pmBasic knowledge of automotive parts is a HUGE plus!Ability to lift load and deliver partsThoughtful steady and reliableMust be 21 years or olderPossess a clean driving record and a valid drivers licenseWilling to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screeningOur rewarding cultureChapmans Culture provides a foundation for team members to build a successful career through camaraderie innovation growth and employee engagement.
