Job Description
The Parts Counter Manager is responsible for customer service and retail sales at an auto parts this position your responsibilities include selling parts order parts and taking inventory of stock in storage and if necessary on shelves.Parts Manager Compensation and Benefits:Competitive PayHealth InsurancePTO & Sick Leave401(K)Parts Manager Responsibilities:Oversee the parts sales process from start to finishOrder Maintain and Manage Parts Department InventoryLocate any parts not in stockComplete special order part request for the customerCommunicate with customer on parts statusCommunicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional mannerMust follow all company safety policies and proceduresUnderstand and follow federal state and local regulations applicable to industryInterview Hire and Supervise all parts department personnel in addition to monitoring their customer serviceCreate Goals and Objectives for the department which includes an annual operating budget and a marketing plan to promote new and repeat businessKeep up to date on manufacturer warrant and policy procedures while serving as a liaison with the factory representativeMaintain the highest Customer Service Index (CSI) rating from customers and handle complaints immediately and according to dealership policyMaintain and actively seek additional Wholesale accounts in the areaOther Duties as assignedParts Manager Requirements:Previous experience at an automotive dealership is requiredAbility to identify the problem quicklyKnowledge of automobilesEffective analytical and communication skillsStrong reading computer and mathematics skillsAbility to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specificationsMinimum of 3 year in service and/or parts departmentAbility to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of timeAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentBasic computer skillsPositive friendly attitudeHigh school diploma or equivalentExperience with auto parts sales (preferred)Ability to work in a fast-paced work environmentStrong organizational and time management skillsDetail-oriented have a professional appearance and strong work ethicWe are an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
