Lab Assistant Pathology at The Vancouver Clinic P.S.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Support Lab Assistant to assist Pathology/Histology staff with specimen accessioning reagent management slide preparation and delivery archival filing and supply coordination. This role ensures accurate data entry specimen labeling and excellent customer service for patients physicians and medical staff.Schedule: Monday - Friday 9am to 5:30pmHiring Range: Typically $20/hr to $24/hr depending on experience.Key ResponsibilitiesAccession specimens and verify demographicsManage tissue processor and H&E stainer reagentsLabel deliver and file slides and cassette blocksMaintain lab instruments work areas and biohazard disposalPerform CLIA-waived testing and competency assessmentsMonitor temperatures track reagents and manage suppliesProvide responsive support to pathologists and staffSkills & AbilitiesStrong knowledge of histology techniquesExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to multitask prioritize specimens (STAT ASAP Routine Pre-op) and troubleshoot issuesCritical thinking attention to detail and organizational skillsTeam-oriented yet able to work independentlyEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Associates degree in Science preferred.Minimum of two years experience working in a healthcare laboratory and/or combination of education and experience in phlebotomy/lab sciences required.Ability to work under stressful conditions.Detail oriented and organized.Pay Range:$19.70 - $27.58The above information is intended to indicate the general nature and level of work required in this position.
