Position Details

• Title: Staff Pathologist (AP/CP with Hematopathology focus)
• Location: Audie Murphy VA Hospital – San Antonio, Texas
• Type: Permanent, Full-Time
• Compensation: $250K – $350K + Relocation & Retention Incentives
• Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP): Up to $200,000 TAX-FREE!
• Up to $40,000 per year for 5 years toward student loans
• Academic Affiliation: Faculty appointment available
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM + rotating call (approx. 1 week/month)

• Provide high-quality Anatomic & Clinical Pathology services, including:
  Cytology (Gyn & Non-Gyn)
  Surgical Pathology (Derm, GI, GU, Breast, Lung, etc.)
  Hematopathology (Bone marrow biopsy, flow cytometry, lymph nodes)
  Rotating transfusion medicine/apheresis coverage
• Collaborate with a team of 7 pathologists on one campus
• Teach & mentor pathology residents
• Opportunities for additional duties based on training and experience

✅ VA Physician Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship (Non-citizens may be considered when qualified citizens are not available)
• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
• Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in any U.S. state or territory
• Board eligibility/certification in Anatomic & Clinical Pathology (ABP)
• Hematopathology fellowship and board certification preferred
