At MGH we believe in a team atmosphere where there is room to learn and grow within the department as well as the organization!The Work:Meets with patient or patients caregiver to exchange necessary information and documentation. Provides an explanation of the process and addresses concerns and questionsCommunicates with unit staff and other appropriate personnel to exchange necessary information and determine placementVerifies insurance benefits and obtains precertification/authorization and ensures verification of medical necessity as necessary. Determines and accepts required payments including co-pays deductibles and coinsurance or refers to financial counselors for follow upEnsures that all necessary demographic billing and clinical information is obtained and entered into the registration system with timeliness and accuracyYou Have:Extensive customer service experienceExcellent and demonstrated communication skills/Computer literacy1 year of patient registration scheduling or other clerical/customer service experience in a medical office setting preferredAbility to keyboard accurately and quicklyBasic insurance knowledge preferredScheduled Weekly Hours:32Scheduled Work Shift:Variable (United States of America)Job Exempt: NoBenefits:Supporting all aspects of our employees wellness physical emotional and financial is a critical component of being a great place to work.
