We are looking for a team player that can help build a positive environment with a desire to work in an interdisciplinary healthcare team and with a culturally diverse patient population. Responsibilities include:Working in a fast-paced medical office settingAssisting patients with check-in and check-out during appointments while making sure all patient data is up to date and remains confidentialAssisting with scheduling appointmentsAnswering phones responding to inquiries and relaying information to providersRecording patient information in electronic health records (EHR) systemsAssisting providers with delivering quality patient careObtaining and recording vital signs (blood pressure pulse temperature etc.) as neededPerforming basic medical procedures such as blood draws and EKGs as neededCollecting and preparing laboratory specimens as neededAdhering to HIPAA regulations and patient confidentialityWhat Were Looking For:Maintains a professional appearance and exhibits professionalism in all interactionsKnowledge of medical terminology and common medical documentation preferredHigh School Diploma or Equivalent (required)Medical Assistant Certification or Registered Medical Assistant preferred Must obtain certification within 18 months of hire date if not currently certified (We can help you get it ask us how!)Licensed Practical Nurses NC licensure preferred (we will pay for your license renewal!)Ability to communicate effectively with staff patients providers peers supervisor or other collaborative community agenciesMedical phone triage experience preferredAbility to float between nearby clinical sites as neededBi-Lingual a plusAbout Blue Ridge Health:At Blue Ridge Health our mission is to improve Health inspire Hope and advance Healing through access to Compassionate Affordable and Quality Care.
