Job Description

Requirements:High school graduate/GED required. College degree in finance preferred.Certified Patient Account Specialist Certification and/or Certified Healthcare Collector Certification preferredA minimum of 2 years business office experience.Previous experience in a business office within a hospital environment preferred or transferable skills from other fieldsPrevious experience in a business office within a substance abuse and/or psychiatric hospital preferred.Must have an acceptable background check and credit reportA minimum of 2 years experience with 3rd party billing and collection experienceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work with male and female adult (18-over) substance abuse/dually diagnosed populationJob Duties/Responsibilities:Completes insurance verification for patients accurately and within 20 minutes of notificationAccurately posts payments to patient accounts daily.Completes adjustments accurately based on payments and information receivedProcesses all mail and related correspondence within 72 hours of receipt.Maintains collection notes for assigned accounts in a clear and concise manner.Performs timely follow up with insurance company and/or responsible party and continuing until account is resolved to a zero balance while properly documenting account.Keeps Business Office Director informed of any problem areas i.e. trends in payment practices of insurance companies and private accounts.All other duties as assignedBENEFITSUMR Health Insurance (3 plans to choose from eligible after 30 days of employment)Delta Dental (2 plans to choose from)VSP Vision InsurancePaid life and AD&D insurance401k with a matching contributionPaid Vacation/Sick/Extended Sick/Personal/Holiday timePaid Short termLong term disabilityLicense/certification renewal and CEU reimbursementFree mealsEmployee Discount programEmployee Fun eventsAnnual performance review and Merit increase reviewSalary increases for obtaining education degrees professional certification and/or licensure (based on program of study/field of certification and licensure)License/Certification renewal and CEU reimbursementFor the 5th consecutive year Wilmington Treatment Center has been recognized by Newsweek magazine as one of the best Addiction Treatment Centers in the US.
