One CaliforniaJob Summary and ResponsibilitiesAs a Patient Care Technician (PCT) you will deliver essential direct patient care under the supervision of our clinical team. Leveraging your knowledge of basic patient care principles and medical terminology you will perform a range of daily duties. Every day you will actively assist patients with personal care mobility and feeding monitoring vital signs documenting observations and maintaining a therapeutic and organized patient environment. You will also work closely with the nursing team to prepare patients for procedures or transport. To be successful in this role requires a genuine passion for patient well-being diligence in executing tasks keen observational skills regarding patient conditions and a proactive approach to continuous learning and professional development.Under the direction of the Registered Nurse performs tasks of patient care including but not limited to hygiene vital signs activities of daily living ambulation and transportation.Labels and handles lab specimens competently.Demonstrates competence in 12-lead EKG.Performs computerized order entry.Ability to assist with stocking supplies. Stocks supplies including carts that contain federally controlled medical items.Performs Oxygen Saturations.Job RequirementsMinimum:Completion of a formal Nurse Assistant program.CERTIFIED NURSE ASSISTANT (CT NA) or Emergency Medical Technician: CA (EMT:CA) required.BASIC LIFE SUPPORT-AHA (CT CPRBLS) required.12-lead EKG.Finger stick blood glucose.
