Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an Intake Specialist for a rapidly growing healthcare technology startup. This role is onsite in San Francisco, CA, with flexibility for remote candidates who can work 9:00 AM-5:00 PM PST.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Intake Specialist plays a key role in reviewing and validating clinical referral information to support accurate patient processing. This role focuses on interpreting provider documentation and ensuring details are recorded precisely within proprietary systems. The ideal candidate is technology-savvy, accurate in their work, and eager to grow within a fast-moving healthcare startup.

This contract-to-hire position offers an estimated conversion compensation of $35-$45 per hour, depending on experience, performance, and location. - Work within proprietary software to manage referral workflows and data.
- Maintain productivity in a queue-based environment with frequent changes and prioritization.
- Partner with internal teams when records are incomplete or unclear.
- Comfortable interpreting medical terminology, treatment orders, and clinical notes.
- Skilled in reviewing documentation for accuracy, clarity, and completeness.
- Excellent precision in data entry with careful attention to detail.
- Technology-comfortable and quick to learn new software tools or systems.
- Dependable, adaptable, and receptive to coaching in a fast-changing environment.
- Experience in healthcare, medical records, pharmacy operations, insurance processing, or related clinical support roles.
- Familiarity with reviewing clinical documentation or working within electronic health record platforms (EMRs/EHRs).
