OverviewPatient Service SpecialistAltoona IALooking for a dedicated compassionate and focused individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as excels in time management multi-tasking and a faster paced environment. This employee will need to be able to manage all front desk operations including but not limited to phones scheduling insurance verifications faxing/scanning quality assurance cleaning/sanitizing assisting with laundry and patient aide work as appropriate. Thats where you come in. As a patient service specialist youll manage both the patient side and business side of our center. Dont underestimate the impact you can make on every patients care experience even before they leave the waiting room.Check out the video below for additional insight into the work of our Patient Service Specialists!ResponsibilitiesResponsibilitiesGreet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check outSchedule patient appointments in person and via phoneCollect co-pays from patients manage payer approvals and conduct insurance authorizations and verificationsRegular communication with parties such as therapistsinsurance companies attorney offices translation companies market operational leaders and business development teamQualificationsQualificationsMinimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED requiredHealth Care ExperiencePreferred Qualifications:Insurance Verification ExperiencePhysical Requirements:Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with co-workers and patientsAbility to multi-task phone computer and in-person interactionsAbility to use computer scheduling software (with appropriate training)Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to maintain accurate records recognize people and understand written directionAbility to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directionsAppropriate manual dexterity to enable typing (including 10-key)and mouse usethroughout a work day/shiftAbility to walk stand bend and reach consistently throughout a work day/shiftAbility to lift up to 25lbs safely from ground to waist using proper body mechanicsAbility to carry office supplies up to 10lbsAdditional DataEqual Opportunity Employer/including Disabled/VeteransRequired Experience:IC Key Skills Air Ticketing,API,CAD CAM,Data Management,Equity,Import & Export Employment Type : Unclear Experience: years Vacancy: 1 Hourly Salary Salary: 18 - 20
